University Of Alicante Begins To Vaccinate 460 Mobility Students

The University of Alicante begins to vaccinate 460 mobility students. Amparo Navarro has valued very positively that the UA students who will study abroad next year travel with the complete vaccination schedule.

The Prevention Service of the University of Alicante has begun this Monday the vaccination process of the 460 students who will participate in mobility programs both during the first semester of the academic year 2021-2022, as well as during the entire academic year.

The students are summoned throughout the day in a process that is expected to last until Wednesday mid-morning, when those responsible for the Prevention Service calculate that they will have vaccinated all the mobility students through a double standard of supply: the Janssen, a single dose, for those who have to travel on August 1 and Moderna, for students who will do so from the 9th. In any case, the vaccination criteria is established by the Department of Health, which is the one who decides the vaccine that each student has to receive.

The rector of the University of Alicante, Amparo Navarro, has approached the Prevention Service where the student body is being vaccinated, accompanied by the vice-rector for International Relations and Development Cooperation, Rosa María Martínez and the vice-rector for Infrastructure, Sustainability and Occupational Safety , Salvador Ivorra where she has been very satisfied “because mobility students can travel safely” thanks to the complete vaccination schedule.

Given that it is planned that the mass vaccination of the age group between 18 and 25 will begin at the beginning of August, the students who plan to travel during the second semester will receive the guideline in accordance with what is established by Health for their age groups.

The students who will have to be vaccinated in this period, will receive the corresponding notification by SMS or by email from Health with the appropriate indications for the appointment.

Statements by Amparo Navarro on vaccination of mobility students are included.
